Last Saturday, Oropesa del Mar Town Hall hosted the information tent for the “Consermar” project. This is an awareness-raising action promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development, Climate Emergency and Ecological Transition, in collaboration with coastal town councils, which aims to raise awareness among citizens to encourage the selective collection of packaging waste generated in the area around beaches.
The Oropesa City Council, through its Department of Beaches, is one of the 22 coastal municipalities of the Valencian Community that are collaborating on the project and are currently working on improving the containerisation of their local beaches.
Last Saturday, the Councillor for Beaches, Isabel Moya, visited the information tent for the Consermar campaign set up on La Concha Beach. “Caring for and maintaining our natural resources is one of the main objectives set by the Beaches and Environment departments of the Oropesa del Mar Town Council, because keeping our municipality clean depends on all of us,” explains Moya.
