Oropesa del Mar is preparing to receive the twentieth edition of the Oropesa del Mar International Music Festival (ORFIM), an event that has become a benchmark for lovers of classical music. For 5 days, attendees will be able to enjoy a varied musical program in the old town (C/ Ribera Forner, next to the bullring) starting at 11:00 p.m., with free admission.

The mayoress of the town, Araceli De Moya, wanted to highlight the importance of the festival: "I am happy to have a festival like ORFIM that, thanks to the artistic quality in all its editions, has been able to celebrate 20 years with us. I have been very lucky to have enjoyed each and every one of its editions since its inception. I remember when this initiative was "in its infancy" and thanks to the Councilor for Culture at that time, M.ª Isabel Gómez Gomáriz, it saw the light in a format very similar to the current one”, adds De Moya.

For his part, the Councilor for Culture, Juan García, explained how “this twentieth edition of the festival integrates different performances that give rise to enjoying music with enthusiasm. We have performances of Jazz, Gospel, Opera, and we will end with a Zarzuela gala. We hope that this new edition will be to the taste and liking of all the people who decide to come to Oropesa del Mar to enjoy the International Music Festival”. ORFIM has grown and has established itself over the years as a cultural reference. This year, the festival will have the participation of top-level artists and performers both nationally and internationally, which guarantees a high-quality musical offer. The eclectic trend of previous editions will continue, covering classical music genres in all its aspects and with a historical perspective, as well as fusions with other musical styles such as jazz.
