The best fishermen in the world will meet between August 3 and 6 at the Municipal Yacht Club
Oropesa del Mar begins the countdown to the celebration of the XXI Deep Sea Fishing Championship that the Nautical Club will host from August 3 to 6. Participation is limited to 40 boats that will compete to be the best in the modality of misting with dead bait and whose fishing objective will be little tunny (Euthynnus alletteratus) and large dolphinfish (Coryphaena hippurus). Catches will be scored at the rate of one point per gram.

The championship includes a complete program of activities that will begin on Friday, August 3 with the reception of the participants and the delivery of gifts. The delivery of trophies on Sunday, August 6 will put the finishing touch to four days of competition in which Oropesa del Mar will become a meeting point for fishing enthusiasts.
