Next Saturday, August 26, the municipality will have an information point on the Paseo Marítimo de La Concha
The Castelló Nord Consortium will launch its awareness campaign “On vacation do not forget the environment” next Saturday, August 26 in the town of Oropesa del Mar. It is a project that seeks to convey to the public the importance of recycling and the benefits of the fixed and mobile ecoparks service.
The mayoress of the municipality, Araceli de Moya, has encouraged the population to come next Saturday and has taken the opportunity to thank the implementation of this project. “Initiatives such as those promoted by the Castelló Nord Consortium are key to encouraging citizens to commit to recycling. From the City Council we invite all visitors and inhabitants of Oropesa del Mar to come and learn a little more about it”.
With the increase in population and waste during the summer season, the Consorcio de Castelló Nord Consortium has launched an informative campaign throughout all the associated territories, including Oropesa del Mar. In this sense, taking advantage of the greater influx of people, the visitors and oropesinos will be able to approach the Information point on the Paseo Marítimo de La Concha (Avd. Columbretes, near the Tourist Office).
The information campaign will take place throughout Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., where attendees will be assisted by the environmental education team, who will announce the service hours, type of waste to be deposited and environmental benefits and economic costs associated with the ecoparks network. The Councilor for the Environment, David Juárez, has highlighted the value of this project “It is important that the population is aware of good waste management. For this reason, from the City Council we will continue to bet on information campaigns and environmental awareness”.
