Oropesa del Mar will celebrate San Pedro with traditional coca, correfocs and festival

The City Council will distribute 5,000 portions of 'coca de Sant Pere' and 400L of muscat wine

 

After the success of the celebration of San Juan, the Oropesino municipality is preparing to enjoy San Pedro next Friday, June 28. Once again, the town will have a special program to offer visitors and residents of the territory an evening full of activities. 

At 9:00 p.m. the day will begin with the distribution of 5,000 portions of 'coca de Sant Pere' and 400L of muscatel wine. After its distribution, attendees will be able to enjoy up close the spectacular Correfocs by the “Falla la Carrasca” of Benicarló along the Paseo de la Playa de La Concha. Finally, this magnificent event will end with a performance by the Top Zero orchestra starting at 00:00 in Plaza Paris. 

The mayor, Araceli De Moya, has encouraged the Oropesina citizens to participate. “Next Friday we will celebrate San Pedro, an incredible day to enjoy our beaches and our tradition,” the councilor has stated.

For his part, the Fiestas councilor, David Juárez, has declared: “This Friday we will celebrate San Pedro. “One more year our La Concha Beach will welcome neighbors and visitors to enjoy this tradition.”
