Books for all ages
- Sections
- Local and provincial themes, audiovisuals, and magazines.
- The collection
- The library is formed through the acquisition of new materials, with the budget that the City Council assigns us, and through donations from individuals and institutions. Most of the documents are freely accessible.
- The novels
- They are identified by the N that they have on their tejuelo, and they are arranged in alphabetical order, according to the author's first last name.
- biographies
- They are identified by the B that appears in the tejuelo, and they are arranged in alphabetical order, according to the first surname of the person biography.
- plays and poetry
- They have the T and P respectively as their identifying letter, and like the novels, they are arranged in alphabetical order, according to the author's first last name.
- comics and graphic novels
- They are distinguished by the C of their tejuelo, and they are arranged in alphabetical order according to the author's first last name.
- Subject books and essays
- They can be identified because they have the corresponding number of the CDU on the tile, which in turn serves as a form of classification and arrangement, as well as a reference for their physical location within the collection.
- in Valencian
- An asterisk is added after the identifying letter or number. In some of the sections, the books in Valencian are separated from the books in Spanish, to facilitate their location and consultation.
- Foreign languages
- They carry as identification, the first three letters of the language. They are followed by the letter or number identifying the type of book in question.
- Children's and youth books
- In children's books, we can find an I as the beginning of the tejuelo. In addition, it can be accompanied by the symbols M, m, or M/m, to designate whether they are books to start reading uppercase and lowercase.
In the children's section, the subjects also have the color identifier, which helps to distinguish the theme of the book. We can also find tiles that are characterized by the use of the abbreviation CUE, for a story, and that distinguishes books in album format, ideal for mothers/fathers to tell the little ones.
Within the children's section, we have a space dedicated to the Bebeteca, with very manageable books prepared for children from 0 to 3 to experiment without limits. They are identified through the J that precedes the rest of the signature in the title ring. - audiovisual collection
- DVD's and some Blu-ray. In this collection you can find both movies, documentaries and series. As well as children's movies and series.
- News
- The library selects and acquires the documents it considers appropriate to meet the information, cultural, leisure and training needs of users. We also have the desiderata service, through which any reader can propose a document to be acquired by the Library, which studies its suitability, and if it considers it appropriate, acquires it, giving priority in its loan to the person who has proposed it.
- loans
- We also have periodicals loan service.
