Pou de la Vila
The well was built at the end of the 18th century to meet the demand for water by the inhabitants of Oropesa and was in operation until the middle of the 20th century.

The increase in the population of Oropesa

During the 18th century it led to the construction of a new neighborhood outside the walls: El Ravalet.

Previously, the water supply for the population was carried out from the cisterns of the castle that was in the power of the lords of the barony, who were in charge of its conservation.

It has a great patrimonial and ethnological value, it preserves the original structure of a well with a rectangular base of large ashlars and an arch at the top. Furthermore, it was not only a place to fetch water, but the center of the neighborhood's social life, especially for women.
