In this first book we reproduce two documents of great importance for Oropesa del Mar and that are found in the Archive of the Kingdom of Valencia. In the first place, the population chapters of the town and barony of Oropesa del Mar, granted before the notary Pedro Solez, by Gaspar de Mascarós, attorney for the lords of this barony, Gaspar Mercader and his wife Laura Cervellón on April 3 of 1589, where the conditions for settling in Oropesa del Mar are established (ARV Real Audiencia. Secondly, the Second Puebla Charter, dated 1611, and which is part of a dispute between the creditors of the inhabitants of Oropesa del Mar and Laura de Cervellón (ARV Real Audiencia.
