This exhibition, on loan from the Universitat Jaume I, will be open to visitors during the month of February 2022 at the Torre del Rey. It wants to highlight the leading role of women in the Second Republic. The different laws that were approved in this period gave the female collective opportunities to participate in citizen action and occupy the public space of politics. Thus, an eminently masculine space was conquered by women, who became conscious subjects, with responsibility in public affairs. The different biographies that we have selected for the exhibition include the civic experience of 24 women during the Second Republic and the opportunities to obtain political or professional positions.
