Don't smile at ill-treatment

King's Tower

April 2022

The message is launched on a bruised Mona Lissa who covers her wounds with adhesive tape, the work of the cartoonist Zulé, a drawing on which the phrase has been superimposed: Do not smile at ill-treatment. The exhibition, curated by cartoonist Enrique Pérez, denounces one of the scourges of our society: domestic abuse. This exhibition is presented as an active denunciation tool and expresses the commitment of cartoonists to this problem.

In the opinion of Juli Sanchis, president of FECO Spain, they want to provide a humorous vision, in an attempt to help put an end to this meaningless plague and so that the terrible phrase is never heard again: My husband hits me. the normal.
