The objective of this project is to facilitate access, both to researchers and interested individuals, to the files of Political Responsibilities of the residents of Oropesa del Mar to promote the historical knowledge of our municipality, the right to memory and remember the struggle of our ancestors for freedoms and democracy.

The Municipal Archive of Oropesa del Mar, within its investigative task and the recovery of documents, held in other archives, of the municipality or of its inhabitants, contacted the Provincial Historical Archive of Castellón, to obtain the files of Political Responsibilities of the Orpesinos.

With the analysis of all the files, both of Political Responsibilities and of Supreme Court Martials, we will be able to get a more precise idea of how our ancestors suffered Franco's repression in Oropesa del Mar. Do our part to pay them homage and compensate them for the damage caused, not only in the upcoming Democratic Memory Days, but, perhaps, with a specific exposure of the files and their detailed description.
