chapel of the virgin of patience
It was the old inn of the town until in 1589 when Mrs. Laura de Cervellón, Mrs. Oropesa, bequeathed it to the first inhabitants through the Puebla Charter so that they could build a church where they could worship their patron saint, the Virgen del Rosario.

Chapel of the Virgin of Patience

Located in what was then the urban nucleus, it is a small chapel, with a large fontispiece, and inside it stands out the 18th-century tilework of the altar from Alcora, and the remains of a machicolation or sentry box that show that the which in the past was a church was fortified to give shelter to the population.

The chapel suffered a pirate attack on September 25, 1619 and was practically destroyed. The Baron de Oropesa (Miguel de Cervellón), commissioned its restoration and that of the image of the Virgin that remained in a convent in Valencia until his return in 1964. It is said that this long and meticulous restoration work is the reason for the change of Name.

The bell tower is a building built in 1932 and preserves a perfectly working clock.
