The educational visit was attended by 60 girls and boys, who were able to resolve their doubts about the functioning of the institution.
Oropesa del Mar Town Hall has opened its doors today to the 4th grade students of the CEIP Dean Martí. Around 60 children attended this visit to learn about the functioning and facilities of this municipal institution.
During the day, members of the municipal Government Team have accompanied the students. The students have been able to see the facilities of the council and the organisation and functioning of this public administration. Thus they have been able to ask their questions about the municipal management of Oropesa and listen to the answers that both the Mayor, Araceli De Moya, and the rest of her government team have explained to them. After this small meeting in the Plenary Hall, in which the students have been accompanied by their teachers, they have been able to visit different municipal offices as well as the first floor where the offices of the councillors with government responsibilities are located and the office of the first mayor.
“The City Hall always has its doors open to citizens, even more so in the case of the youngest ones. It has been a pleasure to bring the institution closer and collect the suggestions that the 4th grade students of CEIP Dean Martí have sent us”, said the mayor, Araceli De Moya.
For her part, the Councillor for Education, Andrea Iliscu, said: “The aim is to bring children closer to the Town Hall and explain to them how we manage the needs of the town on a daily basis.”
The day ended with the presentation of a small gift by the city council to each of the students as a thank you. for your visit.
