October 9th Festival
Next Monday the V Parade and Historical Recreation of the “Festa del 9 d'Octubre” will take place.
The parade will begin with the Orpesine lines running through the following streets: Carrer Doctor Alemany, Plaça de la Església and Carrer Sant Jaume. Once we arrive at the Pou de la Vila, we will proceed to reenact the capitulation of the Almoràvits to the Order of the Hospital. After the reenactment, the parade will continue through the streets: Carrer Cotxera, Carrer Ronda Mar, Plaça de la Constitució, Carrer Penyagolosa, Carrer Severo Ochoa and Avinguda Jaume I.
Upon reaching Avinguda Jaume I, an offering will be made to the statue of Jaume I, and at the end, the procession will return to the City Hall through the following streets: Carrer Port de Querol, Avinguda Blasco Ibáñez, Carrer Penyagolosa, Placa de la Constitució, Carrer Ronda Mar, Plaça Major, Carrer Leoncio Serrano and Carrer Federico Vidal until you reach the town hall.
