Today classes start for the center's students
The Oropesa del Mar Adult School has inaugurated the new 2023-24 academic year today, aimed at those over 18 years of age and exceptionally at young people over 16. Classes will begin next Tuesday from 3:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a great educational offer. In this new course, the center already has 74 people enrolled, waiting for some students to join after the level test.
Among the different possibilities offered by the center are: course literacy, training for new readers, Basic Education and Graduate in Secondary Education (1st and 2nd level). In addition, the educational institution also offers extracurricular activities such as a visit to the library, the castle, a poetic tour, a scientific experiment workshop, an interpretation workshop, a food handling course, and a first aid course.
The mayor of the municipality, Araceli De Moya, has encouraged people who are hesitating to enroll to do so in the coming days. “The Adult School is a magnificent opportunity to continue or start learning. Knowledge does not take up space and only wisdom makes people free. For this reason, I encourage anyone who still has doubts to take the step, to enroll and begin their academic training,” stated the mayor.
After the presentation of the new course, a course will start tomorrow where the center's students will learn about and enjoy an endless number of projects and activities. The Councilor for Education, Andrea Illescu, wished luck at the beginning of the school year: “I am happy to know that there are so many adults in Oropesa who have decided to return to the educational system, this way they will be able to access a wider range of job opportunities. I wish you all good luck in this new school year.”
