The comic-bullfighting show was held yesterday within the City Council's programming for St. James's Day
Yesterday Oropesa del Mar celebrated the Grand Prix Night, a comic-bullfighting show organized by the City Council as part of the programming for the Day of Saint James, patron saint of the municipality, which this week celebrates its patron saint festivities. Hundreds of Oropesinos and Oropesinas came to the Bullring to participate, encourage and contribute to the celebration of this hitherto unprecedented event in the municipality.
On the track, the contest was moderated by a presenter and the participants were divided into four teams: the green ones, made up entirely of men; The blues were the mixed group formed by the festeros and the festeras; the orange team, made up of men and women and lastly, the red team which was also a mixed group.
The contest was very well received by the residents of Oropesa del Mar and neighboring municipalities. Thirty minutes before the event began, the entire capacity was already full. There were truly vibrant moments with the fun tests that the participants had to overcome, from which the orange team finally emerged the winner.
The mayor of the municipality, Araceli de Moya, was satisfied with the reception of the event and thanked the 'Bou per la vila' group for its participation in the organization of the event.
