The competition will take place from February 16 to 18 and will pass through 40 municipalities in the province from Castellón
The province of Castellón will celebrate a new edition of the Mahle Eco Rallye Comunitat Valenciana from February 16 to 18. This sports competition will pass through nearly 40 municipalities, both on the coast and inland, on a route that will exceed 500 kilometers. Among them is the town of Oropesa del Mar, a territory that stands out for its natural heritage that combines mountains and sea.
The objective of this sports competition is to promote vehicles manufactured with new technologies and designed to save energy and emit the least possible amount of polluting substances and CO2. They will participate in it well-known faces from the Bridgestone FIA ecoRallye Cup and the Spanish Alternative Energy Championship-RACE such as Michal Žďárský, Jakub Nebelek, José Manuel Pérez Aicart, Javier Herrera or Luis Climent.
Next Friday the competition will start, but it will not be until Saturday afternoon when this competition passes through the Oropesina town. The mayor of Oropesa del Mar, Araceli De Moya, has highlighted the potential of the municipality to host this type of competitions. “These types of competitions are the perfect showcase to publicize our rich environment of a municipality located between the sea and the mountains. “A spectacular natural heritage that we want to share with lovers of this sport”, the councilor has assured.
The test, in addition to being scored for the Bridgestone FIA ecoRallye Cup and the Spanish Alternative Energy Championship – RACE, will be scored for the Iberian Eco Rallye Challenge, a contest that aims to encourage participation in the four scoring events for the Bridgestone FIA ecoRally that will be held throughout the season on the Iberian Peninsula.
