Twelve restaurants from the municipality participated in this culinary event with the preparation of dishes based on products from the Mediterranean Sea.
Oropesa del Mar concluded its 3rd Gastronomic Days “From the Sea to the Table” last Sunday. This is a culinary event held from June 10 to 25, where twelve outstanding restaurants from the town participated, offering diners an exceptional gastronomic experience. Araceli de Moya, Mayor and Councillor of Oropesa del Mar, Trade and Entrepreneurs, has highlighting the potential of the territory: “Oropesa del Mar has a lot to offer, we have great tourist attractions such as our gastronomy or our beaches.”
This initiative, promoted by the Oropesa del Mar Hotel Association in collaboration with the City Council, sought to promote gastronomic tourism in the area and to showcase the culinary talent of local restaurants. The public's response exceeded all expectations, as both residents and visitors joined in on this unique experience, reaffirming the town as a culinary destination.
Led by the mayor, Araceli de Moya, the event awarded different recognitions to the different gastronomic proposals. The first prize went to Gastrobar Status, followed by Restaurante Casa Julen in second place and Restaurante La Casa Encesa in third place. The winners stood out for their creativity and excellence in the preparation of dishes based on products from the Mediterranean Sea.
This event has not only managed to promote gastronomic tourism, but has also highlighted the culinary wealth of the region. “At the City Council we want to continue promoting local talent. Initiatives like this allow us to create a showcase of the possibilities offered by our municipality.”, added Araceli de Moya.
