After 18 days the town said goodbye to its festivities with la V Parade and historical reenactment of the “Festa del 9 d'Octubre”.
Yesterday Oropesa del Mar said goodbye to its patron saint festivities in honor of the Virgin of Patience with a fireworks parade through various streets of the municipality and a pyromusical show. For 18 days the town has enjoyed an extensive festive program aimed at all audiences, where bullfighting and musical events have stood out.
The mayor, Araceli De Moya, has highlighted the positive balance of this edition. “This year our municipality has hosted festivities with great citizen participation. Furthermore, we have been lucky that the weather has been with us to enjoy it in style,” said the mayor.
During the town's patron saint festivities, attendees have been able to enjoy the most emblematic events of the festival such as the usual proclamation, the 'Paella Day', the different bullfighting events or the traditional offering in honor of the Virgin of Patience. Some of the great novelties that have occurred this edition have been proposals such as the Musical 'Hollywood', concerts such as that of the international group of the 70s and 80s Boney M. and the performance of Don Patricio. Furthermore, another of the great novelties this year has been the pyrotechnic awakening announcing the start of the festivities.
After some intense festive days, the municipality yesterday put the finishing touch to its patron saint festivities in honor of the Virgin of Patience with la V Parade and historical reenactment of the “Festa del 9 d'Octubre”. In general, they have been very participatory parties, with a great reception, calm and great coexistence.
