Oropesa del Mar will begin its festivities in honor of the Virgin of Patience with the presentation of its queens

Oropesa del Mar is preparing to begin its patron saint festivities next weekend in honor of the Virgin of Patience of the September 22 to October 9. The celebration will start with the presentation of the queens of this edition, the young Naroa Espada Jaime and the little Paola Rueda Pauner. 

The mayor of the town, Araceli de Moya, has highlighted the proximity of the festivities: “There is less left to enjoy one more year of our major festivities. "I encourage all citizens to enjoy the wide variety of activities offered by the festive program." 

Tradition and culture will be the protagonists for 18 days with a program full of varied events for all audiences. This long-awaited festive event will start on Friday the 22nd with the presentation of the Children's Queen, Ladies and Festivities of the Children's Court of Honor 2023 and on Saturday with the Presentation of the Queen of the festivities, Ladies and Festivities of the Court of Honor 2023 in the Multipurpose Enclosure.

During the town's patron saint festivities, attendees will be able to enjoy the most emblematic events of the festival such as the usual proclamation, the 'Paellas Day', the different bullfighting events or the traditional offering in honor of the Virgin of Patience.

As a novelty, this year the festive program has a wide variety of recreational offerings with proposals such as the Musical 'Hollywood' next Saturday, September 30 at 11:00 p.m. in the Multipurpose Venue or concerts such as that of the international group from the 70s and 80 Boney M. on October 5 at 11:00 p.m. in the Multipurpose Facility and Don Patricio's performance on October 6 at 11:00 p.m. in the Multipurpose Facility. Furthermore, another of this year's novelties will be the pyrotechnic awakening announcing the start of the festivities next Saturday, September 30.
