Last Sunday the municipality of Oropesa del Mar closed its major festivals in honor of San Jaime after ten days full of activities and events held in the town. The bullfighting events and cultural programming were the main protagonists of this celebration.
The mayor, Araceli de Moya, wanted to thank the collaboration and participation of citizens and visitors during the festivities: “Thank you to all the people who have helped and have approached some of the initiatives and activities that have taken place during our festivities. greater. During the ten days of celebration, the municipality has hosted a wide variety of activities aimed at all ages. Among the most notable are bullfighting events such as the traditional running of the bulls, musical events such as the tribute to the Canto del Loco and the performance of the Toucan orchestra, or emblematic cultural initiatives such as the 'Vilantic' antiques market.
The Councilor for Festivals, David Juárez, has highlighted the festive programming that the council has prepared for the occasion: "Our municipality has had a varied program aimed at the main demands of citizens and visitors to our town."
Finally, the town said goodbye to its major festivals with a day full of events to enjoy the municipality, with its traditional bull runs, music and a fireworks display as a finishing touch.
