The Oropesa del Mar City Council was present at the “News of the Year” awards ceremony for the digital newspaper “Castellón Información”, where the Morro de Gos Neighborhood Platform received recognition for its fight against the regression of the municipality's beaches. receiving the award from his spokesperson Elena Sánchez. Likewise, the Oropesa del Mar Nautical Club was awarded for making news about the organization of the San Jaime regatta in the month of July, and whose award was personally collected by the president of the Nautical Club, Fernando Torrent.
The Mayor, Araceli De Moya, attended the event, who was in charge of presenting another of the gala awards; the one awarded to the Civil Guard René Gabriel Álvarez for his heroic performance this summer in saving, almost losing their lives, three minors from drowning in the sea.
Likewise, the Mayor took the opportunity to congratulate, on behalf of Oropesa del Mar, the Oropesa del Mar Nautical Club and the Morro de Gos Platform, both awarded this award for being news of the year in their categories.
