The municipality of Oropesa del Mar continues immersed in the celebration of scheduled activities on the occasion of 25-N.
In this way, the Espai Cultural hosted this Friday a film forum session in which attendees were able to enjoy two projections by the director, producer and actress Mabel Lozano.
The first of these has been Biography of a woman's corpse, which won the Goya for the best short film 2021, a film that addresses the story of the Colombian Yalimed, a former victim of trafficking, a protected witness who was murdered in 2009 by a hitman hired by her pimp.
The second documentary has been the pimp, in which Lozano narrates the true story of facts proven in final judgments about the most important and cruel pimps in our country.
Debate
This event, which is part of the Violet Week agenda, featured, at the end of the screenings, a debate around the themes of the films.
The Councilor for Equality, Micaela Bermúdez, stresses that «prostitution and trafficking in women is another form of gender violence with which people are not so sensitized.
That is why «we have opted to screen these films by Mabel Lozano, who has a proven track record in this field, to give visibility to this type of situation».
