Since July 13, history and culture lovers have an unmissable date in Oropesa del Mar. Every Thursday in July and August, the Old Town hosts the flea market for antiques, collectibles and local crafts known as Vilantic. The flea market is open from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. to allow visitors to enjoy a pleasant stroll while exploring the various objects on display.
“The Rastro de Antigüedades is an initiative that enriches the cultural agenda of Oropesa del Mar and promises to be an unforgettable experience for all those interested in history, crafts and collecting,” explains the mayor of Oropesa del Mar, Araceli de Moya.
The next event will be this Thursday, July 27, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., the Flea Market will change its usual location to be held in the multipurpose venue located on José Ribera Forner Street and will extend its hours, on the occasion of the celebration of the patron saint festivities in honor of San Jaime.
The Councillor for Culture, Juan Antonio García, highlights that “this unique event offers visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in a world full of unique objects with stories to tell. From vinyl records to jewellery, ceramics, clothing and more, visitors will be able to explore a wide variety of treasures and find authentic gems from the past.”
